Press Release: Relentless Pursuit TV / Jared Allen

Although most recognized for his relentless attacks on quarterbacks throughout the NFL, Jared Allen’s recent purchase of Relentless Pursuit, the nationally televised bow hunting show, has no one shocked that personally knows him. For this wild man’s a hunter by day and a killer on Monday night. It’s a seven figure deal that puts Jared smack dab in the middle of the hunting industry. Relentless Pursuit’s producers hope to bring his wild man attitude into their hunting spotlight. The sponsors are jacked up and new inquiries are poring in.

Already at the top of the outdoor ratings, Relentless Pursuit TV is a high adventure adrenalin rush currently hosted by Tim Wells. Jared and Tim’s cohort hunting styles and personalities are dangerously likened to that of marauding jackals when in the woods. Jared’s first impression of Tim is one for laughter. “When I first met Tim, I considered breaking his arm. It’s that alpha male instinct thing when in the woods. But after watching him shoot a bow I thought we’d pack up like hunting wolves instead. And beings he keeps me laughing with his nonstop one liners, I’ll just break a thumb.”

Using spears, blow guns and arrows as weapons, their approach to hunting is primitive at best. But even so that’s what the viewers want and are about to get starting in 2010. Jared has taken out a bull elk and buffalo with Tim using primitive methods and created a stir once the footage was aired. “It was a test run to see how our fans would react to Jared’s attack mode and primitive style of hunting,” says Tim. “He’s a kid in a giant’s body, with a love for testing ones limits when in the wild. Unfortunately, I may have to kick his butt if he pulls too much of my spotlight.” Tim chuckled a little after that comment.

Returning from a wolf hunt together they both endured frost bite, dehydration, a poked eye and two temper flair ups in frigid 30 below snowy conditions that lasted for days on end. Only to rebook the week long hunt for the next 5 years straight and Jared never even had seen a wolf but when asked how he liked the experience, he said “It was freaking awesome.”

Allen is the NFL’s highest paid defensive player and it comes as no surprise to those who follow football. His latest game against the Packers set a Monday night record with four and a half sacks, safety and a forced fumble pushing him further into the limelight. The transition from an all out attack while wearing a helmet to a patient stalk while wearing a loin cloth, will be one to watch with Relentless Pursuit next year. According to Allen, the challenge of taking down a beast and pulling it off on film is a rush that he likes. Now he’s dove in full bore with a top hunting show. Number 69 is apparent on fans’ jerseys everywhere. Who knows maybe purple will be highlighted in cameo come next hunting season.
